Breakfast
The night before, choose from one of the hot breakfast options off the blackboard. Or for a lighter, continental start to the day, cold cereal, juice, yogurt, toast and seasonal fruit will be waiting for you. In a hurry? Need an early start? A bacon butty makes for a quick bite or an ideal take away breakfast. Just let us know and we’ll have it waiting for you when you are ready.
In the morning, make your way to a cheery dining room and conservatory; both are open 8am-9:30am. Whilst waiting for your breakfast, sit at table and relax taking in the view onto the loch and gardens. Or if you prefer, enjoy the bright and airy conservatory, where you can prepare for your day by perusing maps of Skye or leafing through books to get a better feel for the island.
***If you have any dietary requirements or food allergies PLEASE let us know in advance so we can prepare for your arrival***
Important advice regarding dining out and bookings:
During the tourist season, local restaurants fill up quickly. Prior to your arrival we strongly suggest pre-booking a table for every night of your stay.
It is also wise to book ferry passages, guided tours, and especially accommodation in advance to avoid disappointment or undue stress. Be advised that many B&Bs, including Ashaig, do not accept walk-ins, or in many cases, single night stays.
Ashaig is operated using eco-friendly practices. Our Green Spirit and environmental awareness extends to:
- Solar panels for heating water and electricity
- Collecting rainwater
- LED and low power lights
- Eco-cleaning products to protect the septic system’s health
- Phase out use of single use plastics as we use up the toiletries we have on hand and replace with refillable soap and shampoo containers.
- Low VOC Isle of Skye paints used to decorate throughout
- Reclaimed wood in decor found on the property
- Wood for live edge elm counters in the bathrooms locally obtained in its raw form.
- Upcycled room furnishings.
