What can I do to protect myself from ‘midge’ or insect bites whilst on Skye?

We recommend using insect repellent or cream – but at Ashaig we have gone a step further to ensure that you enjoy a comfortable stay here. In our grounds covering half an acre, we have invested in a ‘Midge Killer’ so that you can relax and watch the sunset in comfort – it is proving very effective. Also, all bedrooms have netting fitted at the windows to prevent insects entering during the night if you wish to sleep with the window open – fresh air and no annoying flies!

When must I Check Out?

All rooms must be vacated by 10:00am.

Can I eat all of my meals at Ashaig?

Breakfast is served every day and is included in the price of your stay (with evening meals available sometimes by arrangement as well). For examples of our typical breakfast menu and information about other eating options in the area see – food & drink – page. Please note: Ashaig is not licensed for serving alcohol.
